Brief History Of The Dashiki
The dashiki is a colorful garment that is mostly made from a certain type of material which is uniquely made in Africa, widely worn by men in west Africa the dashiki covers the top half of the body.It has formal and informal versions and varies from simple draped clothing to fully tailored suites or attires. A common form is a loose fitting pullover garment, with an ornate v shaped collar, and tailored embroidered neck and sleeve lines.
A more modern dashiki is worn through out the world by different kinds of people black or white the dashiki looks good on everyone and its comes in all shapes and sizes,we can say ever since the western world discovered how beautiful and vibrant the dashiki actually was it changed its face. Not only does it represent western Africa but also represents Africa as a whole as well as all the originally originated Africans be it black Americans or Africans scattered all over the world, the dashiki is for all.I wore this dress inspired by my Zambian heritage and designed it myself and an African designer brought it to life ENJOY!:)
